Americans, according to the HOTSCOM Technologies
Internet Survey
• At a major recent conference on Information
Technology deliverability in Chicago, delegates were
informed that people now use IT to communicate more
than they use their telephones.
• A HOTSCOM Technologies survey on IT users during
2005 showed that 90% of consumers use email multiple
times on a daily basis, with 44% reporting
“constant” usage.
• This Survey also found that the average consumer
receives 361 emails a week.
• 50% of the survey respondents said they have three
or more email accounts.
• While most respondents to this survey say around
70% of their email is spam, they consider spam more
of a nusance than a threat, and it doesn’t put them
off using email to communicate.
